Neurological disorder & neuropathy
The neurological disorder is a condition that is caused due to dysfunction in the brain or nervous system. The neurological disorder can be caused due to a damaging infection or an accident. The term generally used to refer the dysfunction of the nerves is called as Neuropathy.

Types of neuropathy

  • Peripheral neuropathy: Seen when the nerve problem affects the nerves outside the brain and spinal cord.
  • Cranial neuropathy: Seen when the nerves that exit from the brain directly are damaged.
  • Autonomic neuropathy: Seen when the nerves of the involuntary nervous system are damaged.
  • Focal neuropathy: The Neuropathy limited to a single nerve or a group of nerves, or one area of the body.

What causes neuropathy?
Some of the known causes of Neuropathy are Diabetes, Deficiency of Vitamin B, Autoimmune diseases, Sexually transmitted diseases, alcohol, inherited disorders, abnormal protein fiber deposition in the body, Uremia, toxins, Drugs or medication, trauma or injury, tumors and much more.

Distinctive neuropathy symptoms

  • One of the symptoms of Peripheral Neuropathy is loss of feeling or numbness that begins in the feet and progresses towards the center of the body. Another known symptom is Extreme sensitivity to touch.
  • Damage to the motor nerves may result in weakness, loss of reflexes, loss of muscle mass, cramping, and loss of agility.
  • Autonomic neuropathy symptoms include Nausea, vomiting, abdominal bloating especially after food, impotence, dizziness, constipation or diarrhea, blurred vision, health intolerance or difficulty to sweat, Hypoglycemia, difficulty in urinating, etc.
